Adult Meta Finder 1.0 Free Script

Postby Smyken » Tue Apr 07, 2009 2:23 pm

Please keep in mind that I'm totally new to C# and application programming in general, my native programming language is PHP/Html.
I had nothing to do last week and thought that it would be a bit fun to try out application programming in C#.

Adult Meta Finder 1.0.0.0
The application fetches Adult Title information and lets the user save it in a Media Browser friendly manner.

Image

Requirements:
Framework 3.5

Bugs:
Not any known yet.

Things to keep in mind:
AMF overwrits existing files if they exist (Without Confirmation), Folder.jpg,Back.jpg and mymovies.xml.
AMF dosn't show your existing data in a folder it only shows whatever title you Fetch and saves it if you so wish.
Runningtime is in wrong format for Media Browser so if you want correct runningtime you will have to alter it manually to Minutes instead of the (Hrs, Mins) Format, This might be fixed in any upcoming update.
AMF currently don't remember your Actor Folder after exit and you will have to set it everytime you start the app and want to download actors, once again this also might be fixed in any upcoming update.

Adult Meta Finder 1.0.0.1
2009-04-22
Just a quick little update.
I didn't have time to add Actor fetching for Gay Titles, this probably wont be in for a longer while since there is other stuff I would do first if I had time at all by my computer.

Changes/Updates
Actor Folder should now presist after Exit.
Added gaydvdempire site by request.
The Actualsize Cover View closes if clicked on.
Runningtime converts automatically

I will most likely update AMF some more and fix any major bugs that come up, but don't take this as a promise it all depends how many people use it and if I have time.

Keep also in mind that AMF displays Adult/Mature content so don't put it on your desktop if there is a chance that children might find it.

I'm not really sure what you mean ?

I usually have split movie files in different folders inside the main folder that I update to the same movie title and name them Part1,Part2 etc.

I'm just curious as to which database you're accessing? http://www.iafd.com/ seems like a very large and comprehensive database. I tried searching for a few of the movies I have with your program and it didn't come up with any matches. iafd.com had all three. So, I guess my question is, does the database you access only have films intended for a heterosexual audience? I have no issue with it if it does. It just means your program is not very useful to me. No biggie.

The info is fetched from adultdvdempire, I will check up iafd to see if anything can be done.
Unforunatly my free time ain't as much as I would like it to be right now so any update might take some time.

Hey there... thanks for the reply. I visited adultdvdempire.com and noticed they have a site dedicated to gay adult movies as well (gay.dvdempire.com). So I'm wondering if you can add that site to the search portion of your script since I assume data would be in the same format for either site. Or if you can't specify multiple sites to search, would it be possible for you to simply edit the existing script so that it pointed to the other site? I guess have a seperate "branch" for people such as myself. Again, if it's not possible, no biggie.
