Make a free program, make it popular by creating a user base and when you have enough of them, make it paid. Great strategy.
So now, users have no option but to forcefully upgrade as the minuscule (read thumbnail sized) images that metabrowser fetches now can no longer be used in a media center application.
But, it's your own product and its your choice.
Thanks, but not thanks. I'm a developer, I'll write my own app.
I would ask that you please release it for free when you do (open source would be even better). There are apparently many users here that want easy to use, well developed, and fully supported applications for retrieving metadata, and pay nothing at all for it. When you get a functioning program that you need feedback on, I invite you to the Media Browser Community Tracker's
Discussion section. I'll be patiently waiting to see what you come up with. Or, just post back with your website and support forums so we can leave feedback.
Thanks,
