I have two .bat files. One for MPC, one for TMT3.

MPC.bat

TASKKILL /F /IM "ehshell.exe"
"D:\Tools\mpc\mpc-hc.exe" %1 /fullscreen /play /close
"C:\Windows\ehome\ehshell.exe "/entrypoint:{CE32C570-4BEC-4aeb-AD1D-CF47B91DE0B2}\{FC9ABCCC-36CB-47ac-8BAB-03E8EF5F6F22} /directmedia:general""

TMT3.bat

TASKKILL /F /IM "ehshell.exe"
"C:\Program Files\ArcSoft\TotalMedia Theatre 3\uMCEDVDPlayer.exe" %1 /fullscreen /play /close
"C:\Windows\ehome\ehshell.exe "/entrypoint:{CE32C570-4BEC-4aeb-AD1D-CF47B91DE0B2}\{FC9ABCCC-36CB-47ac-8BAB-03E8EF5F6F22} /directmedia:general""

MPC.bat is configured for MKV, MP4, Playlist and Unknown extensions in MB.

TMT3.bat is configured for Blu-ray, HDDVD, DVD and ISO files in MB.

So, whether I launch an HD MKV file, MP4 file, BD rip (in ISO or folder structure format) from MediaBrowser, MB closes and either MPC or TMT3 opens in its place, Reclock loads and I can control the player with the MCE remote.

I get no stuttering in TMT3 because MB has been quit.

When I hit 'back' on MCE remote, MPC/TMT3 quits and Media Center reopens in MB.

I have also set MCE to not play startup animation or startup sound. Search for MCE.PerUserSettings in regedit and set both these values to '0'.

Cool!

I created the .bat, what next? MPC-HC still acts the same that you have to minimize media center before hitting play.

You have to call the bat as external player for your desired video. Set it in the media browser configurator, advanced settings, external players.

If you can still minimize media center than you have not done it correctly as the first line in the bat kills media center.

---

I set it up yesterday and it works like a charm. I have removed all icons from the desktop and have the taskbar hidden with the same background as media center and it looks like it is performing inside media center.

Just have the bat to run minimized to make it complete

Will give it a try tonight. Look at it real quick last night and I'm pretty sure the configutrator only wanted to select an .exe file.

In the MB configurator for EXT players, navigate to the directory where you have stored MPC.bat and type MPC.bat into the filename field. It will appear and save correctly even though it only looks for .exe files.

I did actually create a shortcut to the .bat file and in there i selected "Run minimized"

In the configurator you have to call the new created shortcut (.pif file)

That way i don't have any visible command line windows.

I also removed all icons from the desktop and enabled the same background as in media center

What's a .pif file?

I created a shortcut to my .bat file in the same dir.

In MB config, it comes up as .bat.lnk file but dosent run minimised.

I set the shortcut to run minimised.

It doesn't work minimised for me though...

When I select the .bat shortcut, the path in MB config changes to where the real .bat is and seems to bypass the 'run minimised' argument in the shortcut.
