If mediacenter reopens automatically into mediabrowser i would accept this workaround.

At the moment it is hit or miss when launching either bluray or dvd for me from within mediabrowser.

sometimes it stutters, sometimes not. Sometimes i have to restart the movie a few times in a row, sometimes the stutter is gone on the second restart.

No entries in the log so far.

and how did you edit the(MPC mediakeys edited to work with MCE remote), 'back' button closes MPC, MCE re-opens.?

Open MPC, R/click Options, Go to 'Keys' under the 'player' menu

Here you can set any of the Play/Pause/Rewind/FF/Exit etc to any of the MEDIA_******** commands under the 'App Command' column

The MEDIA_******** keys relate to the MCE remote buttons.

Use 'BROWSER_BACK' to exit MPC, this relates to the 'Back' button on remote

I have two .bat files. One for MPC, one for TMT3.

MPC.bat is configured for MKV, MP4, Playlist and Unknown extensions in MB.

TMT3.bat is configured for Blu-ray, HDDVD, DVD and ISO files in MB.

So, whether I launch an HD MKV file, MP4 file, BD rip (in ISO or folder structure format) from MediaBrowser, MB closes and either MPC or TMT3 opens in its place, Reclock loads and I can control the player with the MCE remote.

I get no stuttering in TMT3 because MB has been quit.

When I hit 'back' on MCE remote, MPC/TMT3 quits and Media Center reopens in MB.

I have also set MCE to not play startup animation or startup sound. Search for MCE.PerUserSettings in regedit and set both these values to '0'.

I've got two questions concerning mpc-hc:
1. Can you switch audio tracks in there via hotkey (for example CTRL+A)
2. Can you fast forward easily?

You can do both those those things!

Although I don't use the audio switching, I have seen the option in MPC keys settings.

Fast Forwarding works in 'jumps' of small, medium and large steps.

I set my 'previous' and 'next' buttons on remote to medium jumps.

I set my 'rewind' and 'fforward' buttons on remote to large jumps.

Another point on stuttering in TMT3. I found that when playing BD rips as ISO files, I get no stuttering when opening in TMT3 MCE plugin with MB in the background.

With BD rips in folder structure, I DO get stuttering.

I guess with the .bat workaround, this is almost a moot point but interesting to know if you have similar results.

I have not tested playing a physical BD though as I rip everything I buy to HDD.

Don't use iso files, but sometimes i don't get stuttering. Restarting a movie helps as well as stuttering tends to go away on the third or fourth restart

I can confirm this. All my blu-ray rips are iso, and I do not have stutter when playing back through TMT3 MCE plugin. I see no reason to rip BD's into folder structure. ISO is the way to go.

What I cannot manage to work is to have TMT3 MCE plugin playback DVD folder structure rips. I indicated in MB configurator that for DVD/TS/... the TMT3 plugin should be launched but regardless, MCE native player always launches playback. Is there something I'm missing?
