to start mediacenter in full screen add /directmedia:general
--
dont know why its called that way but it works.

maybe you can also add “/entrypoint:{CE32C570-4BEC-4aeb-AD1D-CF47B91DE0B2}\{FC9ABCCC-36CB-47ac-8BAB-03E8EF5F6F22}”
to start mediabrowser directly after re-entering the mediacenter

I will try that today. That batch thing looks like it would disable the problems with Arcsoft Totalmedia (stuttering if mediacenter stays open)

On the other hand it won't use the mediacenter plugin then, right?

is it possible to minimize a window (mediacenter) by command line?

I tried this .bat file last night and it works SUPERBLY!

MediaBrowser closes, MPC opens fullscreen, (MPC mediakeys edited to work with MCE remote), 'back' button closes MPC, MCE re-opens.

I will try the MediaBrowser entry point tonight too.

I hadn't thought about using it with TMT3 too (I have the stuttering problem too!) and will try again tonight.

Great work guys! I'm well on the way to a perfect Media Center. What on earth am I going to do with free time now!?

I cannot test it tonight. Would be nice to hear your result with TMT3.

Maybe, if it is not working with the media center plugin, we can simply point to the actual .exe

not sure what u mean here.

Currently, I point MB to the MCEDVDPlayer.exe (or similar, not at PC right now) which is the MCE TMT3 bluray plugin.

It launches perfectly from MB in fulscreen but stutters unroll I minimise TMT3, close MB/MCE and then maximise TMT3 again.

I think this is the issue u are having too.

In the .bat file, I will point to the same .exe as described above.

This loses me a bit too...if you close media center, how are you going to keep a media center plugin running...? Seems like you would have to run the standalone TMT. Or, the "plugin" TMT3 really isn't...

But, IMO, all this closing and such is a very unfortunate workaround. I'd really like to see us track down the problem and fix it. Closing and re-opening media center isn't exactly the user experience we should be going for.

I run TMT3 from W7 and have no stuttering problems (aside from the very occasional and very temporary blip)

Good point! I didn't think that through.

However, the stuttering issue is a MB issue, not MCE.

When I launch BD's from MCE TMT, it works perfectly.

If we use a .bat to close MCE (and therefore MB) then open TMT3 plugin, yes, MCE will reopen, but MB will be closed!

This should solve the stutter issue when launching from MB.

Confused? Yep, me too! Looking forward to trying out tonight! :)
