Music for media browser (Screen shot)

Stark Music Covers (Now Playing)

Postby DemonSeed » Thu Sep 03, 2009 2:49 am

With some help from jcalton88 I have found out that its possible to have your Stark Music Covers, showing in Media Centers now playing, floating box.

Things to keep in mind:
1. I have gone through my entire music collection and added a folder.jpg to ALL of my music folders. Using Music Art, To hep find all of the images.
2. I have run Stark Covers and created the images I want to see.

Image

To do this you will need:
Mp3Tag
The Newest StarkCovers
Music Art

Now on to the Install, install Mp3Tag
then run and after it opens, show it where your music is.

Image

After the list is full, Select one song, then press Control-A and it will select all.
Image

After its all selected, go to the bar at the top and press the Aa.
Image

Then Choose Import Cover From File.
Image

After you press OK, you will need to tell it what file name to look for to set the images into the tags.
Image Now we need to remove any images that might be tagged to your songs.
So go to the bottom left and Check the box, "Delete existing Cover Art"
Then press OK

Now you will see this box. Image

After its done...Your dune!!
Thats it! After its done setting the covers into the id3 tags, MC will show the Stark Covers image when a song is playing.
See that was easy! Have Fun & Enjoy!!

Special Thanks: jcalton88,tyborg, Craigt

I'm still trying to find a way to have Starks images in the waterfall as well, so if anyone knows where MC gets its images to show on the waterfall please tell me! Thanks Never Mind,
I had to remove my music folder from MC music library, then re add it to see Stark Covers in the Waterfall.

I just compiled the new MB that supports Music and started working on my collection and thought that this made a very good looking music case.

Here is the files: http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/841137/Sidelogo-CD.rar
if you want to use them just drop them inside the sidelogo folder and stark will see them.

the waterfall is win 7
Ds i got the waterfall to display all my strk covers by deleting all the folder.jpgs and album art jpgs from the music folder

clearing the mediaplayer library then importing it all again
mediaplayer will then use the embedded image in the mp3's to create folder.jpg and all the albumart jpgs

hope that helps

lol, Thanks for the props, But Most of All, Thank You for all of you work your doing!

Yea that is Windows 7,
and Yes The music is playing in the shot. And I did get the Cover Waterfall showing the Stark Covers as well, I just needed to remove my music folder from Media Centers Library, then re add it back in, and MC refreshed the image cache, to include the new id3 tags.

Nephelyn, I do have a question for you. Are you going to be adding a way to do playlists? It kind of sucks, that when a song is playing, if you go back in and find another song to play, it jumps right to it, instead of adding it to a playlist. But thats my one and only gripe, Everything else works grate!

Thanks again for your work here!

if you have a std mce remote and click play on it you get a menu...

with the new new version you can show the playlists in your folder view, there is a thread with all these details in somewhere.

Do you mean the Play all Menu?

I'm not sure what you mean by playlists in your folder? If you stumble across the thread please link it for me, thanks.

There should be a queue option in the play menu (select an item and press play on it). I'm not 100% sure what happens when working on a song level, I usually just queue albums.

Starkcovers creates png files after the conversion and I use Tag&Rename for my tags and so and this program uses jpg files to import in the mp3.
Is there a possibility that Starkcovers creates folder.jpg files or is there a simple batch to create so I can rename all the folder.png files to folder.jpg

It is really looking great and I'm looking forward to the MB version with music browser included!
