TIP: Desktop Shortcut for Media Browser

If you want a desktop shortcut to launch straight to Media Browser you can do one of two things:

One:
Download The Shortcut

or Two:

Create a new shortcut on your desktop by right clicking a blank space and choose New - Shortcut
Then a box will open (copy and paste this in it)

Code: Select all

%systemroot%\ehome\ehshell.exe /entrypoint:{ce32c570-4bec-4aeb-ad1d-cf47b91de0b2}\{fc9abccc-36cb-47ac-8bab-03e8ef5f6f22}

Then save it.
Now rename it Media Browser, and your ready to jump straight into Media Browser

Don't worry, it automatically assigns the MC icon to it. Once you double click it, it will automatically go to MB.

Tip: You can Make MB start with Windows using the shortcut placed in the windows start menu, startup folder.

Thanks for this. Works great apart from the icon has stayed as Media Center. I would change this myself but I cannot locate the Media Browser icon anywhere. Can anyone help?

Did you get the icon to change? If so what did you do?

You right click the icon go to properties, then change icon then browse and then choose the icon you want to see. But it must be a .ico so if you have a png you want to use show it to me and I will repost it as a icon for you.
