Google Code Project: ImagesByName - Actors Updated!

I hadn't noticed until yesterday, but it looks like Luca was able to finally get the project updated last week with the pack I posted on my site several weeks ago. I don't remember how many images was included with that, so there may have been even more included that Luca provided. Thanks for sticking with it...I had given up!

I contributed another small update yesterday which brought the total number of actors images to 4,202. You can grab the RAR package from here (dated April 23rd) or updated directly from the Google Code project using your favorite SVN client.

Thanks for keeping up with this. I'm about to do a clean install and to save some time I just want to confirm that all your updates and base file on your blog are included in the svn.

Also, I'm just curious as to what happens when more than one of you uploads images for the same actor. First come first serve?

I would actually consider the updates on my site more up-to-date since everything I do goes there first. If there are any updates posted to the project beforehand, those are also included in my updates. There may be a discrepancy in the number of files available between the two, but that is because I clean out stowaway studio folders that snuck in and delete any thumbs.db files that may have been missed on SVN.

Any image committed to the SVN that already exists (so long as it has been modified) takes precedence. So if an image for Adam Sandler is on SVN and I commit a new one, my new one will overwrite the pre-existing one. I wouldn't really worry too much about this, however, as any image that is resubmitted should always be an improvement to the older one. I only submit reworks correcting images that do not follow the 3:2 aspect ratio, improve on a poor overall photo (better head shot, for example) and sometimes I will provide a color over B/W image if I found a good one.

Hi I was wondering if I am able to join the google code project as I have a few studio icons and others that I would like to add.
