Another vote for backing up the entire metadata into a zip or rar or something.
Also, would be good for a trailer feature if you browse and select the trailer and metabrowser adds the correct line of code in the xml.
That way, you don't have to go in and manually mess with xml.

I would still like to see more flexibility with different types of media. Please allow for a "Media" drop down for Video and audio in the GUI please.

In the options, a place to add a "post" or "exiting" command execution.

For instance, open metabrowser, grab metadata of your choice, on exiting metabrowser execute the command "c:\movieposter\starkcovers.exe". The choice of either waiting for the command to finish or submitting the command to batch before exiting would also be nice.

p.s. An alternative to this would be to build in exit points where we could insert commands. For instance, an exit point at the end of the "Save Metadata" button could be useful.

Edit: I would also REALLY like the ability to change (through a manually edited XML file is need be) the hardcoded options in the drop down boxes. :)

Would really like some sort of plugin capability, to be able to scrape data from other sites such as IMDB, Avistaz (for the asian stuff) where we can navigate to a site and assign the fields title, sysnopsis, rating , posters, etc.

Another excellent example is The Prisoner from 1967.

This is already available in MetaBrowser, but isn't yet supported by Media Browser. It's been added to the Community Tracker though, so hopefully we'll see it added soon.

I'm not quite following. Media Browser just displays the shows in order of 01, 02, 03 etc. It's MetaBrowser that we would tell it what to name them (which it does automatically). So if I have the files in DVD order and put them into a folder that MetaBrowser watches and downloads automatically, it will rename them to air order (thus naming the episodes incorrectly from what they are).

As I said, if there is a way to tell MetaBrowser now which to use, it eludes me..

Edit: Yeah, so I just saw the firefly thread and figured out how to do this. Wow I'm an idiot. How I've missed it this entire time, I have no clue.

Heh, don't worry about it. Unfortunately, things aren't quite sorted yet. MetaBrowser doesn't rename the files, it only adds an entry to the xml stating what the correct episode number should be instead. So, you'll need to have your episodes titled in the original airing order for this to work. Then we just need to get support added to Media Browser to use the DVD episode field from the xml to order the episodes correctly.

If you aren't already a member of the Community Tracker, you should join up and vote for this feature request here.

Hi
Glad to see you're still working, I was afraid that the lack of updates ment end of line.
As suggested before, I'd like to see backdrop propogation from series to seasons (at least optional)
I'd also like to have the option to manually select a picture (or extract, as currently it doens't work).
Other than that, nothing big - I love the program!

Was working through some newly ripped DVD's yesterday and something else came to mind that would be nice. I lock a title when I'm finished with it. And since it's locked and I'm done with it, I would love to be able to filter these out by default. So, it would be very nice to be able to create a custom filter and mark (with a checkbox or something) as the default filter. It would also be nice if custom filters survived an upgrade :D
