This started as a free open source project, and still remains that, but its too much of a time drain for me getting nothing in return.

My advice for the loyal users? If MediaScout doesn't do what you want it to, use Meta<Browser />. If that doesn't do what you want it to, learn C#/.NET, and continue on from my work (Or pay me lots of money so I have any motivation to work on this :P)

MediaScout does everything I want it to do, so I probably won't be pushing out any more updates until the API changes and it breaks for me.
FreQi or Soultaker (maybe) may push out updates (or any of the other "team")

As the saying goes, so long and thanks for all the fish

I imagine it's a real pain to update and support a program like that and make it available for free, however there is no need to be bitter. Try to remember that many people are not as skilled with computers as you are. This stuff doesn't come so easy to some of us. :)

I am really disappointed to hear this. I am sure it is a pain keeping up the code and dealing with stupid questions, but rest assured I am sure there are quite a few people who are grateful for your work, me being one of them. The software gets the job done and is simple to use, like it should be. And as far as I am concerned there are only a couple features that I would like to see implemented.

I am disappointed to hear you wont be updating the software anymore but I will still be using the software.
