Stop button to close movie

I am using Windows 7 RTM. With WMC when I press stop the movie will stop and close but with Media Browser when I press stop it will pause and minimize at the corner.

Is there anyway to close the movie when I press stop? I cannot find a way to completely close it.

Another question - I have also installed Media Control before installed Media Browser. Now in WMC's home screen I have an extra item "Media Control" and Media Browser is inside it instead of separate item. Anyway to fix it?

Is it just me or do others find it strange that we can't actually stop a movie playing?

As a result of this if you 'stop' an movie playing and then press back too many times you end up with a blank screen.

You have to press back again to get back to the menu.

This is because the movie is in the background still

Is there anyway we can get MB to actually stop the movies from playing? Or any tricks to get it to stop?

Is there a way to kill it from playing without restarting MC?
