No TV metadata

For my TV shows I use Media Scout to download metadata locally. As a lot of my TV shows are not to be found on thetvdb, I also have MediaInfo and High Quality Thumbnails plugins enabled. Internet Providers is enabled, and I'm running Mediabrowser v2.2.3.

My problem is that after I've run Media Scout I get no metadata (synopsis, actors etc) for any series. I've tried loading MB without running Media Scout, and generally get the same result, although a few series have got their metadata (the minority).

Interesting thing I noticed - one series picked up the metadata properly after running mediascout, and then the thumbnails were overwritten by HQT?? Does the HQT plugin overwrite any other metadata solution?

How do I make HQT work only on files without Media Scout metadata?
