That didn't work and others on there stated that too. I did this just for the MPAA rating system and it isn't working.

Guys, please start a new thread if you're going off topic.

I'm having a hard time keeping up with these threads as is, now theres pages on pages of metabrowser talk in between. :P

Just a friendly request from my side :)

Craig

I have no idea what could have happened with the extender... I don't think I touched anything to do with with scrollers or views.

Hi All:

Craigt: Your theme is by far my favorite. Didn't really like any themes in the beginning but what chocolate does by far exceeds the others, IMO!

With that being said... The new 1.0.1 version in the images on your site and the ones posted in the forum you are showing the full sized MPAA rating icon, is that something you're pulling from the "Studio" folder in IBN or is there a setting somewhere to do that that I must be missing?

The other thing is this... Is it possible, or could it be possible if not already, to turn off the display of the 3 new info lines:

RESO
VIDEO
AUDIO

In my opinion they are not in line with the overall look and feel of the chocolate theme. If others find them useful that's great but it would be nice to have a setting to either show or not. If there is one, a setting - I don't seem to be able to figure out which it is that controls it.

And while I have your attention, I'd like to propose some possible changes to your theme. Here are a couple of possible design changes. Maybe a configuration setting to show the full sized MPAA/Ratings icon and maybe a setting for the "where" to display it.

In the first screen cap this could be arranged with the media info on top and the rating underneath it as opposed to the way I have it displayed here.

The only other thing I find lacking in your theme is the ability to click things like genres or director. As it is now the only way to get to these is through the config tools. The ability to click around through genres is a great time saver over sorting. And as it is now the only way to get to the director is through the sorting tools. Even through "Actors" you still can't get to the director.

Just some food for thought for you. Keep up the excellent work and I look forward to hearing your thoughts on these.

I'd agree with techols there on the RES, VIDEO, AUDIO info 'panel'....I rip everything to ISO so mine just show as XXX and might as well be turned off!

I for one like the info but would propose them being in a separate tab like synopsis and actors.

As far as the rating is concerned you can use xzeners studio icons for this. He has created separate icons which you place in the studio IBN folder and specify these as a studio within metaBrowser. I do not see the point though in having a big "R" next to the name and an even bigger "R" plus box again to the right.

In my opinion the option to turn on or off the rating itself and allowing users to specify an icon might be useful in this instance.

I second this. This allows for more details and hides the information for people that have iso's (they simple wouldn't navigate to the tab :) )

It could look similar to Diamond, but according to the overall chocolate theme look-and-feel

I think you have missed the point of this post. I know you can use the "Studio" folder for this, however when you do this you have the built in ratings pulled by the theme and the MPAA/Rating icon pulled as a studio - looks stupid having it twice. Not to mention at least one theme only pulls the first studio, so there goes the "customization" factor using the Studio folder for ratings or even media types.

I thought it would be a good idea to have it native in the theme but giving us options as to which type, i.e. small or full-sized, and where to display it. I don't care if it's pulled from the Studio folder or not but having options for a more "personalized" Home Theater would be great. Taking up "studio" space for the ratings icons and media types is just plain ludicrous IMO. Maybe just the details page could shoe the full sized MPAA/Ratings icons and use the small that's being used now for any list type views.

We need custom support in media browser for ratings in all themes, period. Thats what it comes down to.

By the way craig, it was just me, I was doing some messing around based on my sort by idea on the tracker, and I screwed my image cache badly. Back to running smooth as silk. ;) Spacing on director looks much better thank you.
