Xzener's EHS Icons (Taking Requests)

Hello everyone,

Have any of you looked at my icon's lately and thought to yourself, "Man, Xzener's icon's sure are dated. With all these awesome themes coming out, it sure would be nice for a fresh new look." Yeah, me too. So I've decided to try something new, but try and keep it rather easy to do.

I'll be using my icons, but throwing a perspective touch with a little reflection (3D touch)

As of right now, I'll be creating the 3D icons.

Here are some screen shots of what I've been working on...

1) Xzener's icons with some perspective and extra room up front for 3D effects... (I can picture a pair of 3D glasses, or a tub of popcorn or something in the foreground... You'll see)


2) I might be creating these too, I'd like to get the 3D ones finished up first.

I kinda like the centered one. But think its a little small. And you might want to be careful about doing directional icons. Seeing as two of the new themes have moved the EHS icon box to the right side of the screen. Don't want them staring off into oblivion. ;)

I agree, maybe I'll try to resize it to better fit the window. As far as the direction, thats why I'm keeping it simple. Creating the icons with the opposite perspective shouldn't be that difficult.

# 2 for me fella. Don't go too modern though mate. They have stood the test of time well in my opinion :) I would like to see an example of something like Action just to see what characters you had in mind and how that would look.

It seems as though #2 is the popular pick. Hows the size of this one??

yeah that looks better.
But really I think your tiring to take the easy way out.
What I think would look really cool is if you removed the art from the top of the clapper, skewed it like you have it, move it to the left, then reapply the art back in front of the clapper in a 3d manner. With some nice floating text out in front.

That would better use all the space you have to work with and still have that Famous Xzener Style, with a hole new flavor. :)

But that's just me tiring to make you as busy as me...lol :D
But I do really think that could look cool. And I know It would be just too easy for you to pull off.

I think thats a cool idea, dont get me wrong, but it sounds a little to much like james' icons. Have a look below...

Thats kind of like the vision I have, but I don't want the HUGE amount of requests like before. For "HD Movies", I picture a stack of Blurays and HDDVD's that have fallen over. The same for DVD's.

What do you guys think??
