GoogleCode project : ImagesByName - Actors Update

I've not heard much from the other members of this project, so I'm going to go ahead and post my latest contributions.

I have just committed 457 total actors to the ImagesByName project. 178 are new images with 279 being reworks, bringing the total to 3986 actor images (had I know it was that close, I would have gone for the 4k!). Currently, this update is available only by SVN if you want to go directly from the project page. Otherwise, you can download a RAR package from the downloads section on my site, here (32MB dated Mar. 20).

If I do not get tied up next week, I should have a much more considerable update by the end of the week now that MetaBrowser supports image grabbing from theTVDB.com.

Just kidding, really good work!

I saw that many of the images we collected are not yet present on TVdb.

I tried to upload them but doing image by image is like having a second, third and fourth work together.

:idea: I don't love much to write in english :oops: but if any willing soul would contact the TVdb staff to point them to this collection, they could take it themselves to update their database, or they could suggest us a way to do a batch upload without losing too much time.

No worries...such are the lives of volunteers :)

If I don't get swamped at work next week (or burned out from fixing images!), I'd expect close to 1000 images from me by end of week, Friday. The majority of those should be new also.

I have 60 odd actor images that I have downloaded recently, let me know if you want them and I'll upload them.

All comers are welcome! :) Best to check if the actors you have are already included. If you need access or anything just let myself or lleone know and we can sort you out with project member access for this.

Things have been really slow for the past couple of weeks, but I'm working on a small update now. Not sure when I'll have it available as I believe the latest unRAID beta is giving MetaBrowser some fits. Hopefully beta5 is released soon (if it resolves my problem, that is).
